8Fest was the biggest college party of its kind, anywhere. Fact. With the success that Posner achieved after 7Fest, getting blasted to international stardom and four platinum records, the sky was the only limit for #Fest. 8Fest saw artists like Machine Gun Kelly (also from Ohio), CJ the DJ, Freaky Franz, and DJ-EV. Thirteen thousand people from California to Florida packed in to see the biggest and best #Fest lineup yet. Some were calling it the most anticipated college music festival ever. It was at this point that industry executives recognized that #FEST had a strong footing and was something to pay attention to. One week later, MGK signs to Bad Boy. A few months later he is on the cover of XXL as a member of the ’12 Hip-Hop Freshman of the Year class.
